New Mutants - Karma

Yeah, I've decided to make a series of these. All 9 aree gonna have slightly different Red X's, designed to reflect the characrter. Kinda. Woo!

In the early 80's, Marvel created a new comic - The New Mutants, the first true spin-off to the highly succesful X-Men series. In The New Mutants, Charles Xavier, dying from an alien attack enlisted the training of nine young mutant students to his ex-partner, and ex-arch-enemy, Erik Magnus Lensherr - the infamous Magneto - in thew hope that he would teach them to control their powers and become the New X-Men.

However, with three members of that team killed, and the other 6 butchered and eventually gradually replaced with the hip and happening new X-Force, the comic and characters faded into obscurity, with some of the cahracters shipped off to the orther X-Comics.
Which was a shame, to be honest. So here is my interpretation of Xian Coy Manh, AKA Karma, one of the team's original 5 members, kinda updated and re-done.

In the real comics, Xi'an "shan" Koy Mahn AKA Karma joined Xavier's after killing her demented and throughly evil twin brother Tran, and moved from Vietnam to America as the custodian of her younbger siblings Leong and Ngah. Karma acted like a mother figure to the rag-tag group - unfortunately, thanks to the dual plotlines of having her mental powers high-jacked by the vast Shadow King, and her siublings kidnapped, she eventually left the group, only to re-emerge a decade later as a lesbian with a thing for libraries. Groan.

In my world, the immagrant lesbian Karma would still be like a mother figure the group - a thoughtful and strict mother with a thing for practicality and order, as it were. However, her past would still be tainted by the murder of her twin brother, a secret she keeps as quiet as possible.

Yeah, she kinda simple and boring, but I like her. The X is designed to look like the halo that appeared when she used her possession powers. yeah.
