New Mutants - Legion

The son Charles Xavier never knew about, David Haller-Xavier's origianl mutant power was never dealt with in great detail - however, all that's known about his powers is that when he was growing up in Israel ( his mother an ambassador ) , he absorbed the psyches of three mutant terrorists - Jemahl, a telepath, Jack wayne, a telekinetic, and Cyndi, a pyrokinetic. Cared for in Moira Mactaggert's Muir Island Science Compound, David remained in a coma until he was 16 years old, while the rampant mindsw of the terrorists tore his sanity to pieces. When he woke, the voices in his head screaming, David's mental instability caused an explosion that destroyed a large portion of the island. When the New Mutants accompanied Xavier to find out what happened, they encountered one of their ultimate enemies - Charles Francis Xavier's tainted prodigy, the insane son of the most powerful mind on Earth - Legion.

Ok. I like Legion. I like him a lot. Great Back Story, Great Powers, Great Potential. Unfortunately, he now no longer exists, thanks to the Age of Apocalypse. Great Potential, just not used exceedingly well.
